Once the caribou-hunting season is over, i.e. after February 15, Mirage Lodge becomes the base camp for snowmobile expeditions. Discover the caribou's wintering ground. Caribou arrive in the Mirage Lodge's vicinity in November and remains in the area until April.

From Mirage Lodge, outdoors lovers who search for caribou can choose every day a new short-distance destination. The occasion is ideal to see and take photographs of the magnificent sceneries and caribou in the Great North's winter whiteness.

Long-distance lovers will be pleased to know that we have a 150-kilometer trail that allows you to go farther north. Snowmobilers can spend one or more nights in our cozy cottages situated in a place we could almost call "the end of the world".

Others activities

In addition to photograph taking, we can add to these expeditions ice fishing and ptarmigan hunt.
